1. UNIcert

The Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences is accredited with the Organization UNIcert and can confer their language certificates for English, Spanish, Italian and French..

There are four UNIcert-Certificate levels of skill. Each skill level can be obtained after 8-12 SWS ( = hours per week/per semester, i.e. when students have attended a weekly 2-hour class for four semesters).

The certificate contains course details, whereby the main focus is on oral ability and listening comprehension, while also teaching language structures and text writing.

The certificate is bilingual in order for it to be understood by employers abroad. This should give students an additional incentive to concentrate even more on learning a new foreign language or to strengthen their previous knowledge.

2. Test DaF

Students from non-German-speaking countries who would like to study for more than two semesters in Deggendorf have to take a German Language Exam: the German Language Exam for University Admission: in short, the DSH or TestDaF.
