Our international program has been updated to give English-speaking students the chance to study in Germany and obtain a BBA degree with a major emphasis in International Management. The program lasts three and one half years instead of the usual four at Anglo-American universities because students are required to have the equivalent of the German Abitur (advanced high school diploma) plus practical work experience (student internship or apprenticeship) to start the program. For North American applicants this requirement can usually be met with two semesters of college credits plus six weeks of business-related work experience. If your native language or language of your high school is not English or German, you will need to submit scores from the TOEFL Test (a minimum score of 230 or 570 is required) or demonstrate your English fluency through other tests or documents (Contact Dr. Elise von Randow for questions regarding obtaining the equivalent of the German Abitur and work experience). In the Bachelor Degree Program, all courses are to be taught in English with the exception of Business German courses. In the fourth (or fifth) semester you will study at a non-German partner university. In the fifth (or fourth) semester you will work as a student intern in a foreign land or in a German business in an international capacity. In the sixth and seventh semesters you will take upper level international management courses that emphasize case study methodology, project and team work.
