AKI

ArbeitsKreis International is a group of students from the University of Applied Sciences whose main objective is to help incoming foreign students integrate: they provide valuable assistance from going through the paper and visa procedures to organizing international parties. Every 2nd Tuesday, they organize international nights (Spanish night, Brazilian night, Latvian night, etc)
They also organize sightseeing tours.

Bars and pubs

You should be aware that Deggendorf is not a big city like Munich!  Still there are a lot of possibilities to have fun in Deggendorf. Next to a few student bars and pubs in the city centre there are several comfy cafes and Cocktail Bars which offer affordable and good food. You can reach them all within 5 Mins on foot, if you live around the city centre or in Student Accommodation. Most bars have special student nights during the week.

Modern theatre (cinema)

There is a modern theatre (cinema) which project films one Wednesday a month in English. It is small but modern and comfortable with 3 show halls. Mondays are the cheapest days to go to the movies (only 3, 80 EUR!).

Sport

There is a centre for Bowling and Pool lovers about 3 Minutes away from the university.
For nightlife lovers, Deggendorf and the surrounding areas offer a few modern clubs.

In addition the University offers a large range of activities which can be found under University sports
